Sweet but Edgy

One look I've been dying to try is the rock-and-roll meets chiffon-and-lace look. This is not a new trend, or even a runway look (at least, I don't think...but I've been so bad about catching all the runway shows this season). I haven't been able to manage trying out the look because I lack a pair of leather pants. Sure I have the wet-look leggings and my resin-coated black jeans, but I haven't managed to get my hands on a pair of truly fitting, 100% leather pants.Until now.

The other day I was making the rounds at my local thrift haunts and had come up empty until I spotted a pair of leather pants hanging from a rack. Size 0. They'll never fit, I thought to myself. But I just had to try them on - 100% lambskin leather, and softer than a baby's bottom. I slipped them on in the dressing room and I swear to you it was like a scene from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - miraculously, they fit! (I am by no means a size zero, people.) I nearly skipped out of the place,  $25 poorer but leather pants richer. I intend to try the sheer + leather look this weekend. How about you?
