It's good to get fall into the Gap again. When I was younger, I adored Gap. And then somewhere along the line, we grew apart. I'm happy to be reunited, and so excited to see all the colorful, pastel-ly, confectionery colored jeans they are bringing out this spring. And I love this new skimmer jean - for pear-shaped women like me, it's nice to have a little room in a skinny jean without broadcasting to the world what kind of underwear you're wearing, or (dare I say it) cellulite. I also like that it's more of a casual look than a "Hey, look at me" statement.

This pair of polka dotted Skimmers is fun but also relaxed and casual. It's a weekend skinny jean, and I'm a weekend jeans kinda girl. Best of all, I ordered these in Petite so no hemming required! (Did I mention they start at just under $70?)

I also dabbled in a little bit of Prabal Gurung for Target madness...I was looking for something bright yellow and this oversized sweater fit the bill.

I also ordered these Gap skimmer jeans in my normal size, knowing that they run a size or two large. I did that to avoid what I call The Sausage Effect: squeezing too much--er, leg--into a small "casing", so the mind perceives the leg as thick. Now, you all know that I have self-proclaimed cankles, so I'll do anything to minimize that bizness.

Anyway. I just really like these jeans.

This post is made possible by an awesome collaboration with Gap, who also provided compensation for my time styling, photographing, and creating this post. My opinions are my own, and I truly like this brand. Match made in heaven. The End.
