Sparkly Gift Ideas for $50 or Less, Vol. 1
From now through the holidays (although these gifts apply anytime), I'll be featuring some pretty, shiny, and/or sparkly gift ideas with reasonable price tags that anyone can give. Especially good gifts for girlfriends, colleagues, PTA friends, the in-laws...the list goes on. Without further delay, I bring you the Silver Initial Candle, a lovely steal that says, "I am class, taste, and elegance" for only $29.An especially lovely set of vases. What's great about these is you can give all three to one lucky person or save even more $$ by giving three people separate pieces, for only $12 per person. If that doesn't scream frugalista in these trying, fiscally-dismal times, I don't know what does! Rosa Vase Set, $72 Now $36.
Perfect for the woman who has everything, these gorgeous robin's-egg-blue soaps come in a nest of straw, perched atop a beautiful white porcelain bowl. When you can't get in the mind of your recipient (or the prospect makes you weak with terror), this Nest Egg Soap gift set is a great choice, especially at only $24.
Check out these gorgeous gold coin hoop earrings by Yochi. Only $48 yet they're guaranteed to make the lucky recipient feel like a million bucks. Shop it at the fabulously trendy L.A. boutique, Kitson.
This is a fun and unique gift idea for those in your life that just can't get their leadened bodies out of bed in the morning. "The Clocky" will give you exactly one chance to get up when the alarm goes off; after that, he(she?) jumps off your nightstand, and hides...sounding the alarm all the while. Making you get up to turn it off is what keeps you awake! A cute idea, and only $50 over here.
Alright, so these isn't technically a "gift" idea, but I came across these and thought these are the most gorgeous, shiny, sparkly pastel Christmas tree decorations I have ever seen. Who wants boring, when you can have glamorous? I mean, really? They're a bit pricy though, at $79 but they can last a long time if handled with care.
