Sail Away in Breton
sometimes, you just want to dress the part
if it's not fun, it's not fashion
okay, i had to. sorry.
i am in love with the buttons on these high-waisted linen shorts
it's hard to salute and keep a straight face.
Yes. I am pale. But thanks to the popularity of vampires these days, I can occasionally bare my legs without fear of Casper jokes. Usually.
Thanks to Jessica for the Breton stripes challenge/inspiration! You may be wondering what exactly I mean by Breton stripes. Well, here's a great article about Breton. They've been such a hot trend lately.
I thought there would be no better thing to pair this fun top with than some high-waisted, cuffed, sailor shorts. I love the brass toned buttons going up the sides - it's exactly what I had been looking for in a pair of shorts! And they're linen, also an on-trend fabric.
I had to glam up what could be an otherwise boyish ensemble - and you know me - with some cat-wing eyeliner, red-red lipstick, and hot red heels. Fun!
If you can't have a little fun with fashion, then why bother at all?
