Guest Post: Arriving In Barcelona
Vahni: After touching down in Barcelona, feeling quite haggard after a six-hour overnight flight (on which I barely slept), I looked for the "STYLE COALITION" sign and learned I was the first to connect with our transportation crew. After exchanging some money, I grabbed the tiniest "grande" latte I'd ever seen, and waited for the other bloggers to arrive.
Eventually they did arrive, and there we were—bleary and virtually makeup-less fashion bloggers, not in cute clothes, but our comfy leggings and flats, meeting for the first time. The only comfort I could take was that we were all in the same boat.
Vahni: Driving through Barcelona to our hotel felt surreal. I kept thinking, I'm in SPAIN! I've always wanted to see Spain, but truthfully, I've never really thought I would. Seeing street signs in Spanish and amazing architecture along the way jolted me awake, and after a short drive, we arrived at Granados 83, our loft-like hotel.
Vahni: We had a few hours in which to relax (sleep!) before departing for a tour of MANGO headquarters. We piled into a bus, and off we went!
Vahni: On the bus, left-to-right: First row: Sydne, Diana and Wendy; second row: Gala, the Lichtensteins (they won the trip to Barcelona that was part of the MNG by MANGO mission); third row: Karen, Jessica and Lilliana; in the back: me!
Here's a short video I shot while on the way to MANGO headquarters. You can see a bit of Barcelona...the neighborhoods near our hotel.
This mission, including the trip to Barcelona, was sponsored by MNG by Mango and jcpenney and produced by Style Coalition.
Stay tuned for more reports from Vahni's trip to Barcelona for the international leg of my mission with MNG by MANGO! Thanks again, Vahni! Be sure to check out Grit & Glamour for her fun (we'll call 'em "unofficial") posts--like some great after-hours Barcelona pics! — Kristina
