Today I wanted to share my typical winter date night outfit and makeup look with you guys. I've also found a really great way to highlight thanks to two new Clinique products. When it comes to a casual movie date with my husband, you won't see any high heels or super tight jeans--I'm much more low-key than most, I guess. I prefer natural makeup (jazzing it up with a quick, easy, and foolproof contour method, more on that below) and a cozy sweater. (Gasp!) leggings round out the casual comfy nature of the outfit. Since it was particularly chilly, I added my army green hooded jacket and North Face beanie. You'll probably notice that I'm quite short--so to give the illusion of longer legs I try to match my shoe/boot color to my pant, so here I've used black biker boots from Pour La Victoria to give some of that illusion. But let's be honest. My legs are damn short.

I've recently discovered a new product that enables me to contour in a foolproof, stress-free, less-than-30-second method that I just had to share with you. Clinique have just released chubby sticks for contouring, called Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight! The bronze shade goes under the hollows of your cheeks and blends easily with a brush or your fingers, and the highlight shade is a gorgeous iced golden pink shimmer that adds dewiness without adding sparkle.

step 1

First, I swept a cool toned brown in my crease. Then I added a matte cream shade on top of my lid. I like to outline the shape of my desired cat-eye flick with black eyeshadow first, then go over it with a liquid liner.

I think it also adds a little smokiness to the liner, don't you think?

step 5

The contouring is a cinch. I just sweep a single line of it underneath the hollow of my cheekbone, and blend in with a brush or fingertips. It's foolproof!

I hope you enjoyed this outfit and makeup idea.

Leave a comment below--do you contour on the regular?? Do you think you would if you had something as easy as a Clinique Chubby Stick to do it with?!
