...But Baby It's Cold Outside
I promised myself when I wrote this post that I would not gush insanely about how much I love this dress. I slipped it over my head, tied the sash, and was immediately in love. Kristin Hassan is a fashion designer--not to mention PSS reader!--whose S/S 2011 line I was already familiar with when she contacted me. (Hi Kristin!!) I immediately knew which dress I wanted to wear -- the Vita dress -- so gorgeous!! This print in particular reminds me a lot of the Kate Moss for Topshop dress but far more fun and definitely a more flattering cut.
See? I told myself I wouldn't gush and I did anyway. Oh well, it could have been far worse!!
These days I've been keeping accessories down to a few simple essentials, such as my big gold watch and a single bangle. The dress and shoes are so much fun that it wasn't really necessary to accessorize with much.
Can you see the goosebumps? The day was deceptively cold - I stepped out onto my balcony and felt the warm sun and, thinking it wouldn't be too bad, left my coat at home. As soon as we stepped outside, BAM! Icy winds and f-f-f-freezing in the shade! Oh well, lesson learned.
Don't ever be afraid to mix textures and prints! Just do so within moderation.
I still love my Marc Jacobs cat-eye sunnies! Shop Bop sold out of them, though, so you may have to look elsewhere for them - I left a link to the Marc Jacobs website in the outfit credits so you can find them if you want. Perhaps a wishlist? Along with the Kristin Hassan dress? I'd say it's the quickest path to feeling and looking chic there is!!
