While I'm in Norway for the holidays I've asked a few select bloggers to host Pretty Shiny Sparkly until my return. Please give Morgan a warm welcome with your comments! xoxo -- Kristina
Hi, I'm Morgan from Morgan and Lua. I was so flattered when Kristina asked me to do a guest post for her! I really admire her approachable sense of style. She can dress casual, fancy, or outrageous all while maintaining her unique personal style. One of the reasons I started blogging was to better develop my own sense of style. Over the several months I've been blogging I've learned that I'm always more confident when I feel comfortable.
I spent a weekend in Philadelphia recently visiting Kim from Eat Sleep Wear. We spent the day walking around and exploring the city. I had brought so many things with me but ultimately ended up wearing what I felt most myself in. A soft olive tone sweater, a big wrapped scarf, a pair of slacks, and chunky heeled booties. I kept the outfit simple because I really just didn't feel like layering on the jewels or trying to make the outfit something it wasn't.
My idea of dressing pretty, shiny, and sparkly doesn't always mean throwing on a ton of make up, glitter, and sequins. Sometimes those qualities can come from truly reflecting who you are in an outfit. And from there all that pretty, shiny, sparkly can come through on its own. Of course a few Christmas tree lights twinkling in the background never hurt either.
